The role of the Strategic Development Management Committee
The role of the Strategic Development Management Committee is to exercise the Council’s functions as local planning authority, as set out in the terms of reference of the Development Management Committee, in respect of developments with the following thresholds:-
50 or more dwellings
3,000 sq. m or more of floor space for business development
20 or more dwellings or 2,000 sq.m. or more of non-residential floor space at Aylesbury Town Centre as defined by the boundaries on map No. SDCC – MAP 1 JULY 2007 held by the Development Management Manager.
Proposals with site-specific allocations in the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan.
The Corporate Planner to decide which applications should be categorised as “other key growth related developments” for determination by the Strategic Development Management Committee.
